 Sono i fondatori dei BARDO POND, ma hanno anche altri progetti in atto, i fratelli MICHAEL e JOHN GIBBSONS con VAPOUR THEORIOUS , provano a scrollarsi la loro aurea psych, per dedicarsi a momenti di puro esperimento sonoro, tra improvvisazioni, elettricità pura e visionarieta' in ben quindici episodi, tra cui un rifacimento, THE BIG SHIP di BRIAN ENO.

Ben 21 i brani scritti tra college rock, pause acustiche e forzature elettriche, il tutto con una bella dose di malinconia di fondo. 

Marigold is the last album where PINEGROVE had already given us a sample of their sound, indie-rock and folk ideas. Si comprende bene, che ONE VELVET MORNING è solo il primo capitolo, bisogna mettere le idee ben chiare per il seguito.
