THE ROOM IN THE WOOD with WE'RE THE MARTIAN, NOW a very welcome return

 Nei anni 80, verso la meta', nella Liverpool di quel periodo musicale, esordirono i THE ROOM, non ebbero vita lunga ma vennero allora, paragonati a band del calibro di ECHO AND THE BUNNYMEN, JOY DIVISION, THE FALL, davvero una attenzione eccessiva. Di tempo ne è trascorso e DAVE JACKSON e PAUL CAVANAGH , fanno uscire il secondo lavoro, con questa nuova band. Sono 12 i brani che ci propongono e si muovono in vari campi, che rimandano ai THE RAILWAY CHILDREN, TINDERSTICKS, BERT JANSCH e NICK CAVE. Ci si muove tra momenti elettrici e altri post-punk,psych folk, facilmente assimilabile, direi piu' che promossi.

In the 80s, towards the middle, in the Liverpool of that musical period, THE ROOM made their debut, they did not have a long life but were then, compared to bands of the caliber of ECHO AND THE BUNNYMEN, JOY DIVISION, THE FALL, really excessive attention . Time has passed and DAVE JACKSON and PAUL CAVANAGH, they release the second job, with this new band. There are 12 songs that they propose and move in various fields, which refer to THE RAILWAY CHILDREN, TINDERSTICKS, BERT JANSCH and NICK CAVE. We move between electric moments and other post-punk, psych folk, easily assimilated, I would say more than promoted moments.
