This promising Chicago quintet's debut album spans various eras and genres, all fused with a touch of romanticism. We find the 1950s, indie from the mid-1980s to the early 2000s, and ghosts of Roy Orbison, Elvis Presley, The Smiths, and the Strokes. This band from Boston is on their third release. Their sound is decidedly tied to the heavy metal era of the '80s and distances itself from the hard rock of the '70s, thanks also to a strong psychedelic vein and a melodic research in the composition. Ninth album for this Swedish band, born from a split from Dozer, a path always within the stoner rock sphere, a beautiful heavy desert blues, without compromise, ideal for those who love this sound. They will find in them true masters. They have earned it all with their great passion for the genre.

 Nono album in ventiquattro di attvita' della band di Colin Meloy, un lavoro per di piu' dippio album, un bell'impegno dopo delle opache ultime uscite. Esce cosi' un lavoro attento, poliedrico e ricco di spunti felici, giusto per ridare lustro alla scrittura del gruppo, un bel ritorno dal passato.

Colin Meloy's band's ninth album in twenty-four years, a double album at that, a solid effort after their lackluster recent releases. The result is a thoughtful, multifaceted work, packed with inspiration, just the thing to restore the band's songwriting to its former glory, a welcome return from the past.

 Terzo album per questo trio al femminile di South London,i loro inizi con un art punk e ora si spostano, gia' con il precedente verso tematiche psichedeliche e buona melodia. In evidenza forse è il lato pop dove essere definitivamente le personalita'  delle tre protagoniste.

This is the third album for this South London all-female trio, who began with art punk and are now moving, as with their previous album, toward psychedelic themes and good melody. The pop side is perhaps the most prominent, where the three protagonists' personalities truly shine.

GARLANDS with TURN THE SKY-pleasant

 Il titolo del duo rimanda al disco di esordio dei Cocteau Twins, ma di quella incredibile stagione nel suono di CATHARINA e SUI non cè alcuna traccia. In compenso c' è un fare psichedelico, lo si nota nelle composizioni, nell'uso delle chitarre e delle tastiere, le parti vocali sanno di dream-pop nel loro rock distorto, c'è ancora da focalizzare per bene dove vogliono anare a livello sonoro.

The duo's title harks back to the Cocteau Twins' debut album, but there's no trace of that incredible era in CATHARINA & SUI's sound. On the other hand, there's a psychedelic edge, evident in the compositions, the use of guitars and keyboards, and the vocals have a dream-pop feel to them amidst their distorted rock. They still need to figure out where they want to go sonically.

BEN STELLAR with SCREAM FORM NEW YORK, NY-nothing short of stellar

 Una band si affaccia con interessante proposta sonora, i Ben Stellar arrivano da New York, c'è molto fascino e attinenza a band come i Television, Sonic Youth,Interpol e Strokes. Chiaramente ci si muove tra post-punk, shoegaze, riff guitar noise, ma ci sono angoli di melodie e romanticismo, non manca proprio nulla. 

A band emerges with an interesting sound: Ben Stellar hails from New York. There's a lot of charm and connection to bands like Television, Sonic Youth, Interpol, and the Strokes. Clearly, the music moves between post-punk, shoegaze, and guitar noise riffs, but there are also touches of melody and romanticism; nothing is missing.
